A strong and vibrant arts sector relies on the public's appreciation of the role of the arts in our lives.

Cities all around America look to Seattle as a great place for the arts. We are such a place because people in Seattle care about the arts. Many of those are the people of Allied Arts. Too often the arts are discounted as a luxury and not recognized as a necessary aspect of a healthy society.

Allied Arts is helping to lead a broad and diverse coalition of artists and arts organizations to promote the role of the arts in the Northwest. By holding a series of "conveningsī we're able reach out to other sectors and identify opportunities for collaboration. Much like Renaissance Florence or Ancient Greece, today's Northwest is poised to cultivate great art and science. Allied Arts is working to enhance our community's appreciation and support of the creative spirit so that our arts can flourish and enrich our culture.
