WALK, BIKE, RIDE | Getting There From Here (And, Meet The Evening's Challenge!)
Join us on July 20th from 7-9 pm for this compelling discussion at the second event of our Public Square Salon series. Through these Salons, folks are invited to share their views on a variety of topics which may lead to further civic action.
Walk, Bike, Ride is a vision of the Mayor's office advocating for the future of sustainable transportation from walking and biking to riding transit, to promote the health of Seattle communities.
Seattle is at a turning point in transportation and how we define and connect with our great public spaces.
How do we best prioritize walking, biking and transit with how we use our streets and promote sustainable, great public spaces?
CAN we get there from here?
How can great public spaces thrive with integrated transit options?
What changes are needed to make this happen?

We are witnessing a new paradigm that is just starting to take shape. What can be done to continue to foster the artists and arts organizations that have added so much value to our communities? |

Beer & Culture Introduction |
|
Allied Arts Beer and Culture Nights Allied Arts was founded in 1954 under the name of "The Beer and Culture Society." More than fifty years later, we still like that name so we're honoring it with our "Beer and Culture Nights." By convening groups of smart, energetic and public-spirited citizens in an informal setting and by providing snack food, beer and a hot topic, we hope to inspire free-ranging and uninhibited discussion that will be enormously fun and can lead to civic action. Suggested Donation: $20.00. Free to low-income. All donations appreciated, regardless of size. Your contribution supports Allied Arts. |
